Representing Exponential Decay

Let’s think about how to show and talk about exponential decay.

Problem 1

A population \(p\) of migrating butterflies satisfies the equation \(p = 100,\!000 \boldcdot \left(\frac{4}{5} \right)^w\) where \(w\) is the number of weeks since they began their migration.

  1. Complete the table with the population after different numbers of weeks.
