Associations and Relative Frequency Tables

Lesson Narrative

The mathematical purpose of this lesson is for students to recall how to interpret a relative frequency table. Students also practice creating pairs of variables with associations. This lesson prepares students to create lines of best fit and use them to make predictions about a relationship in an upcoming Algebra 1 lesson. Students engage in MP2 when they interpret the meaning of various points on a scatter plot.
